My Favorite Lamp

This lamp has lasted me 9 years. It has been though Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah. It has taken from high school to college to my career.

And it spends 7 months in a 5th grade classroom and dies. If you shake it, there is something lose in the bottom, which I am sure is from someone dropping it.

It was a really sad day. You wouldn't think I would be this sad about my lamp dying, but it effected me.

Now I have to get one of these too.

Purse

I have decided that I am old enough now to start carrying a purse. The though kind of just popped into my mind, like when I want to get a haircut.

Anyways, I started thinking "How awesome would it be if I just had everything I wanted in my purse? Like chapstick, my phone, keys, a camera, a pen, a water bottle, a book..." You get the idea. It would probably get messy and heavy really fast.

Anyways, since it will be my first grown-up purse, I have to make sure it is the right purse.

So I have narrowed it down to a purse that looks like one of these two. But I am sure I'll change my mind. I might not be able to make up my mind so much that I don't even choose one. I'll let ya'll know.

Never Buy A Kodak

I consider myself a clumsy person, but I am very careful with expensive stuff. This one time I broke the top of an oil lamp of my parent's friends, and I felt horrible. So I try to not break the expensive stuffs. Pens and pencils I break all the time.

Well, I dropped my camera of four years last August.

Exhibit A
It has a lens error. Yes, it was opened when I dropped it. So we had to get another one. I did some research and chose a Kodak.

It broke within two weeks. And I promise that I didn't do anything. The shutter things stopped opening. We took it back to Best Buy. And they sent it to Kodak and we didn't hear anything. Well, we were about to move and I wanted my camera back. So we went back to Best Buy who couldn't really tell us anything except Kodak couldn't fix it, so they gave us our money back. Then we bought a Blu-ray player so we could watch Netflix on our big screen.

We didn't get another camera because I wanted to do some more research. And then we moved to Texas and we had to be tighter with our money. But we finally got another one and I decided to stick with Canon. It has been more than two weeks and it hasn't broke. I suspect it won't unless I drop it. But I will stick with Canon from now on.

Vera Bradley

A long time ago, I was introduced to Vera Bradley. Her bags/purses are so amazing. And so expensive! (For me. I guess compared to $700 purses, these aren't bad at less than $100.

I was introduced to the bags when I worked at the BYU Bookstore in school supplies. One of my co-workers had convinced the head of the department to carry the bags. (The backpacks) So he contacted Vera Bradley who basically said "no".

Really? Who says no when someone wants to order from you. But it turns out that Vera Bradley is very exclusive and the stores who carry it have to fit a certain standard. So I had never seen a store carry them.

Until now. Chris and I went to some antique/speciality shops and they had a whole section of Vera Bradley.

I still love them. I the ones I love the most are the baby bags. Unless I decide to make a cuter one myself when the time comes, I am totally going to splurge to get one.

Black Friday

Black Friday was a good day for Chris and I. We went to Walmart, Target, Michael's and Best Buy. We added 20 DVD on TV to our collections. We finished our collections of Friends, The Office, and Supernatural. The best thing is we spent less than we saved.

And Chris got this for me as an early birthday present.
Except mine is in black. I love it so far and it does so much more than the normal Cricut. Too bad I have to spend all my time packing after today and can't use it until Christmas.

Only 19 more days until we move!
