Charleah and Steven are engaged! And these are my favorite pictures of them that I took a few weeks ago. I think they look adorable but Charleah is super picky about them. And I can say that and post them here because she doesn't even read this. 

Family Pictures

Over Christmas break we had family pictures done by Sarah Berry. I think they turned about fantastically and she did it in like 20 minutes because we had all woken up really early so we can take these during sunrise. So some of us might have been a bit cranky.

Chris has never missed an election day. And I have only missed one, the very first primary after I turned 18. We almost missed the last one because there was nothing really important being voted on and we weren't sure if we would make the polling place before it closed. But we did. Whether or not the issues are important to you, we should still take an active role in our communities.

Pictures from Chris's Phone- Part Deux

One night we went to Best Buy and saw this. Two guys wearing spandex body suits. Kind of weird, right? Surprisingly, this was not the last time we saw something like this. A few weeks ago we saw two boys skateboarding wearing body suits like this. If you can't tell, their heads are completely covered. It doesn't exactly scream "comfortable!"

 

 

Last February we went to the BYU v TCU basketball game in Ft. Worth. We totally beat them and we waited outside with lots of other people for a glimpse of the team. Especially Jimmer. This is the blurry picture that we snapped of him.

The crowd as we awaited the basketball team to come out to their bus. It took them forever. Because technically the meet and greet was inside the gym and we missed that memo.

Pictures on my Phone: Part 2

Part two of my segment "Picture on my Phone." I should note that my phone is not a smart phone and does not have a good camera at all. It is probably like 0.5 megapixels.

Obviously from the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. This was one stressful trip. But the day Chris and I went here was very relaxing and then we drove along the coast for a bit.

I make Sammie take pictures of weird stuff. This day in Hobby Lobby, it was pictures of large dishes.

Blue Crabs! That we never got to eat because they died before we could get them home. I want to try again next summer though. It was fun getting them and I miss the taste of fresh crab so much.

These photos are from Chris's phone. Theme: Chris wears crazy things. He is always willing to wear the thing that is most out there. And you can't not have a picture of it!

 I think this wig is what Chris wore on Halloween at school. Or that was his plan.

 His school did a 50s day to celebrate the 50th day of school for the year. He dressed up as a nerd. Isn't he such a cute nerd?

Pictures on my Phone

Here is a new segment called "Pictures on my Phone"

The following two pictures are of our first tiny apartment in Provo. Neither Chris or I are very organized people. We don't put things away as soon as we finished them. So, this was proof to Charleah that at some point our room was clean. And Chris's closet was clean.

This was in our second apartment in Provo. Mom was visiting us and she snapped this picture on night to send to Dad. We all have pretty cheesy smiles here. 

Finally for the end of this segment, Chris wearing a Cosmo hat in the BYU Bookstore. I actually have a lot of pictures of Chris with weird things on his head. This is actually my phone background. I love seeing his silly face every time I look at my phone.

Longhorn

We drove by some longhorns today and they reminded me of one that we saw at the rodeo. The ones I saw today seemed small compared to this guy.

However, this picture doesn't really do it justice. It doesn't look that big.

So I added a Chris next to it so you can see how big it was. It was huge. And this is for reals, Chris can back me up.

I was going through my pictures and I came across this one Charleah took. I love it.

WICKED!!!

Sing that title.

Chris and I went to San Francisco the first weekend in October in order to take some tests for teaching. That fell through and we couldn't take the tests, but we had already bought tickets for WICKED, so we decided to go for it.

I have been waiting to see WICKED since I first heard the music 4 years ago. I am pretty sure Chris and I were the last people in the world to see it and I we both loved it.

And... it is going to be in Houston next July. And guess what? We will also be in Houston next July, or at least in Texas so we'll be somewhat close. I am already excited to see it again!

Graduation

The day finally came. I finished all my requirements, took that stupid last final and I am graduated. I kind of miss it already. Everybody is talking about going to grad school and I am thinking maybe I should go to. But then I remember I would have to study for the GRE and I change my mind. But I am not completely ruling it out, I will probably change my mind someday.

My dad, mom and little brother came into town to celebrate with me. They were only here for 3 to 5 days, but it was so fun and felt longer. Chris did summary of everything we did here.

My parents got me Photoshop Elements for Mac- the full version. So I have been trying to learn it.

I made a deal with myself that if I took my final for my independent study class, then I could start doing my photography again. Well, I downloaded the free trial for Photoshop Elements and these were some of my pictures.
