Sunday Thought

And now, as pertaining to this perfect atonement, wrought by the shedding of the blood of God—I testify that it took place in Gethsemane and at Golgotha, and as pertaining to Jesus Christ, I testify that he is the Son of the Living God and was crucified for the sins of the world. He is our Lord, our God, and our King. This I know of myself independent of any other person.
I am one of his witnesses, and in a coming day I shall feel the nail marks in his hands and in his feet and shall wet his feet with my tears.
But I shall not know any better then than I know now that he is God’s Almighty Son, that he is our Savior and Redeemer, and that salvation comes in and through his atoning blood and in no other way.

You're Doing it Wrong

American Idol, I hate you.

American Idol,

You should just quit and stop airing. Nobody likes you anymore. You jumped the shark years ago when everybody started sucking. And stop going over (using the excuse that you are a live show) and make my DVR miss the last 5 minutes of Glee. Just tell Ryan and Kara to stop talking and then you will have enough time!

A disgruntled past fan.

Tiny Chris

So I had a little fun putting Chris in with the Longhorn. Here he is with some other things.

A flower. He is like a Thumbalina.

Taking a ride on Kali.

Visiting Alcatraz as a giant.

A finally, on his own shoulder. Big Chris looks confused.

Longhorn

We drove by some longhorns today and they reminded me of one that we saw at the rodeo. The ones I saw today seemed small compared to this guy.

However, this picture doesn't really do it justice. It doesn't look that big.

So I added a Chris next to it so you can see how big it was. It was huge. And this is for reals, Chris can back me up.

Making Memories

They are having a warehouse sale next weekend. In Utah. Where I no longer live. But for anyone who is in Utah and wants to go here are the details.

I love their stuff. Especially their paper and brads and ribbon and small paper packs.

See you later, Alligator!

Once upon a time there where four geese that lived in our neighborhood by the pond.

As you can tell from this picture, there are only three swimming around.

Two weeks ago,  I was walking Kali and she went up to a 7 foot high and 10 foot long bush and started sniffing and the bush hissed back at her and the whole thing moved. She barked and ran away. The next day the same thing happened. I thought she had found a snake.

But last Tuesday I was walking Kali with Chris and we walked by the same bush. Kali went near it and it hissed and moved again. Chris said there was no way it was just a snake. We took Kali home and then got our camera. With the zoom we found this:

Can you tell what it is? Chris and I debated about it thinking maybe it was a turtle, but no. It was goose number 4. We threw some things at it and it didn't move. It was dead.

The next day I went back and found this:

A pile of feathers. The goose was gone. Chris was convinced that it was an alligator. I wasn't so sure. But later in the day Chris looked up alligator sounds. We heard this. Which is exactly what we heard when Kali investigated the bush.

We haven't actually seen the alligator, but something had to eat that goose. One day I'll find it and then call animal control. I need proof first.

Facebook

So, I experimented putting linking my facebook page with my blog, so that every time I posted, facebook would import my post into a note.

I think it is stopping me from posting here because I don't want to overrun people's newsfeeds. So I am removing.

But if you didn't know I had a blog, you can still read it at www.randiskayak.blogspot.com.

Post-its

Tickled Sprouts

Okay, I have started an etsy site again. I have had this name for a while and finally decided to do something about it. I like to craft and like to make a lot of the same stuff. And I can't use it all. So I am going to try to sell some of it.

I will be adding all kinds of stuff all the time. Right now my obsession is fabric rosettes. Next I am thinking it will be bibs.
